Some Nigerians are angry with the Ooni of Ife for singing a song declaring Jesus as his Father

During the Father's day celebration, the Ooni of Ife at a Church Service sang a special number "I have a father and he will never ever fail me...Jesus is my father, he will never fail me, rock of ages, never ever fails..." he further asked the congregants to join him in singing.

Well, some Nigerians are of the opinion that he is the custodian of the Yoruba culture and tradition, which includes the deities as such he cannot be a Christian also.

Ever since, some Nigerians have been angry over his declaration as many voiced out their anger saying he should refer to Oduduwa as his father not Jesus Christ.

Well, been a traditionalist do not mean the ruler doesn’t believe in God as he has just made that clear to many that he is not just a traditionalist but a believer in God.

Truth be told, can you really serve two masters? Yes he is created in God’s image, but mixing Christianity and idol worshiping is really contradicting.

What do you think?
