24 years old Taoreed Ashimiyu (left) who was recently arrested by the Lagos state police Rapid Response Squad for pick pocketing, says he has spent all his proceeds from pickpocketing on both old and young prostitutes. Taoreed and his accomplice, 34 years old Kayode Jolaade were arrested for stealing of peoples phones at different BRT buses in Maryland and Mile 12 areas of the state. Taoreed, who hails from Yemetu, Alawada in Oyo state, said that he spent the proceeds from stealing on prostitutes. “I have not spent a dime from my proceeds in stealing on anything tangible. I womanise a lot and I spent my monies on both young and old ladies. I smoked indian-hemp and drink all sort of hard drinks. My accomplice caused my arrest today. 62 year old Pastor Isaiah Ojo has been arrested by the Oyo state police command for having sex with the seven-year-old daughter of his friend and fellow pastor, Bidemi (not real name) on the altar of his church, Dayspring Family Chapel situated in the Egbeda area of Ibadan, Oyo state on May 9th. Ibrahim Shekarau A former Kano State governor who was accused of helping to distribute N950 million in the #Dasukigate scandal has said he is not being politically victimised. Mr. Shekarau, a founding member of Nigeria’s ruling All Progressives Congress, APC, decamped to the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, few months to the 2015 elections. He was recently arrested by the anti-graft agency, EFCC, amid allegations that he helped distribute N950 million to top Kano and other northern politicians in the build-up to the elections. The money is believed to be part of the $2.1 billion arms fund allegedly mismanaged by the former National Security Adviser, Sambo Dasuki. Mr. Dasuki and some other officials of the previous administration are already being prosecuted for their roles in the scam popularly referred as #Dasukigate.   Nigeria is hosting the second regional security meeting in Abuja to consolidate efforts for regional peace and development.
