Jide Kosoko's wife is dead

Henrietta Kosoko, actress and wife of renowned Nollywood actor and former president of the Association of Nigerian Theatre Arts Practitioners (ANTP) , Jide Kosoko has passed away according to The Nation. The veteran actress was alleged to have died in the morning of Monday, June 6 after she had slumped at home and was rushed to the hospital where she was alleged confirmed dead. A close family source told The Nation, “She was in coma and eventually gave up the ghost, she’s actually been battling diabetics for a while now cause her sugar level keeps fluctuating” Henrietta Kosoko celebrated her 53rd birthday a week to her death.

   A Medical expert, Dr. Osahon Enabulele, who underwent a successful surgical operation for his ear infection in Nigeria earlier this year, has condemned President Muhammadu Buhari's decision to seek treatment for his persistent ear infection at a London hospital despite the presence of over 250 ear, nose and throat (ENT) specialists in the country and a National Ear Centre in Kaduna State. In an open letter to the president, Mr. Enabulele described his president's decision to go on a 10-day medical vacation to London as a mockery of the change mantra of his administration and that of the professional competence of Nigerian doctors.

Niger Delta Militant claims Tompolo is hiding in Libya

According to allegations by the Joint Niger Delta Liberation Force (JNDLF), former militant leader, Government Ekpemupolo (alias Tompolo) has allegedly fled to Libya. In a statement issued today June 6 by the group and signed by General Akotebe Darikoro, the commander of general duties, General Torunanaowei Latei, the creeks network coordinator, General Agbakakuro Owei-Tauro, the pipelines bleeding expert, and General Pulokiri Ebiladei, the Intelligence Bureau of JNDLF, they said: “The military can’t locate Tompolo but we have identified where he is now. Presently, Tompolo is in Libya and we’ll get him dead or alive for betraying us in supporting the federal government against us. READ ALSO: Tompolo advised militants to cease warfare and embrace dialogue “Nigerian military has weak intelligence gathering mechanism hence they could not identify our modu oparandi. Nigerian military is only good in carrying AK47 to harass innocent people and raping young girls and women.”

Raymond Dokpesi reportedly escapes assassination attempt, police detail shot dead

The Chairman of Daar communications, owners of AIT and RayPower, Raymond Dokpesi, escaped an assassination attempt on his life on Saturday night June 4th. According to The signal, Dokpesi's wife, Tosin complained of stomach ache and was taken to the Child Care and Awareness Clinic at Wuse 2 Abuja, when the armed men accosted her car, asked for Raymond Dokpesi before killing his police security named Sergeant Den Gaius of the FCT Police Command.

IG User Ginikaokolo and other friends to the young ladies who drowned, have been sharing condolence messages via Social Media. According to them, 24-year-old Funmi (left) and 27-year-old Shola (right) who are both graduates from Covenant University with degrees in International Relation and were on the verge of completing their Masters in International Law and Diplomacy from the University of Lagos, lost their lives at a friend's birthday party in Elegushi Beach yesterday. The young Ladies were carried away by the heavy tide of the Beach water and there were no safety measures like an emergency medical unit, patrol unit or even life guards to assist them. Their friends are crying out to appropriate government agencies to look in this situation which is now becoming common in Nigeria and stop such from reoccurring

The Joint Niger Delta Liberation Force, JNDLF, has threatened to attack many vital government offices including the seat of power, Aso Rock, the headquarters of NNPC in Abuja, National Assembly, the DSS headoffice and others. In a statement released today June 6th, the militant group which threatened last week, to test 6 missiles in the Niger Delta regions beginning from tomorrow June 7th, warned members of the diplomatic community to remain neutral as they carry out their planned attacks. Part of their statement reads;

CULT WAR: Clash Leaves Over 19 Dead

There are reports that 19 people have been killed in suspected cult clashes in Aluu community in Ikwere Local Government Area and Obite community in Etche LGA in Rivers. Although the Rivers State Commissioner of Police, Musa Kimo, said that he was not aware of the incident, a security source who asked not to be quoted told Channels TV correspondent that among the dead is a Naval officer who was a member of the joint security operation that was sent to quell the situation. Sources described the crisis as a battle of supremacy between rival cult groups. Eyewitnesses say some innocent persons were also caught in the crossfire. The Caretaker Committee Chairman of Ikwere LGA, Samuel Nwonosike, told journalists that the situation was overblown. He said that the government has moved in to chase out the miscreants and that normalcy has returned to the affected areas.

The horrific act meted out on an innocent woman in the name of “blasphemy” is totally unacceptable. something needs to be done urgently by the authorities to stop this crazy trend. The deceased was a Mrs. Bridget Patience Agbahime from Orodo town, Mbaitoli LGA in Imo State and married to Mr Mike Agbahime -a senior pastor of Deeper Life Bible Church, Brigade Quarters in Kano state. And for the records, she was beaten and stabbed to death with dangerous weapons…  Speaking exclusively with National Helm in a phone chat, Mr Mike through his associate (pastor Kem also in Kano) gave point-to-point details of what transpired on that fateful day.
