10 yrears old Girl chained for allegedly stealing N4000 rescued in Ogun

The Ogun Police Command has rescued   another child, 10-year-old Promise Udeh, found chained in a house at Saraki, Adigbe area of Abeokuta, Ogun State. She was rescued on Thursday around 7.30 pm when neighbours living close to the building where she was chained alerted the police.

A Police Inspector Detained for Stealing Plantain

A police inspector attached to the Railway Police Command, Ebute-Meta, identified only as Joseph, has been detained for allegedly stealing bunches of plantain. The Inspector was said to have been arrested on Tuesday while trying to hide the plantain in trucks. A senior police officer in the command ordered his detention and his arraignment for the crime.

I Rejected Ex-Governor’s Offer To Launder N405 Million – Falana

A Senior Advocate of Nigeria, and civil rights activist Femi Falana, has revealed that he rejected a N405 million brief from a former governor to help him launder funds abroad. He urged lawyers not to stoop so low as to be willing to aid fraudulent politicians because of what he termed filthy lucre. Falana’s revelation was documented in a monthly magazine, ALERT by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) released to journalists on Friday.

A man and his two children have allegedly stolen a pot of soup from where a resident was cooking in Mpape, an Abuja urban slum. The incident happened along Mashafa road in the area on Monday. The owner, identified only as Femi, said he was stunned to find the man and his family already eating his ogbono soup which they stole when he stepped into his house to get salt.

This 6-year-old boy has been arraigned before a magistrate court for murder.

The Enugu State Police Commnd has arraigned a 6-year-old boy, primary two pupil, Chibuike Oramalu before a magistrate court for murder. It will be recalled that Chibuike, a primary two pupil of a nursery and primary school was detained recently for accidentally firing a gun, which killed a 12-year-old boy, Oluebube Boniface.

Scores of militants have been reportedly killed in a joint military operation code-named “Operation Awatse” launched in the Arepo area of Ogun State and some parts of Lagos. The operation is to flush out the suspected militants that have been terrorising residents in the area. There has been a lot of commotion. The Nigerian Air Force bombarded Fatola, in Arepo, which is the base of the militants, a resident confirmed.

This Man is in Police net for Planning his sisters Kidnap

A 27-year-old man, Chigozie Egegonye, has been arrested by the Lagos State Police Command for allegedly planning the kidnap of his sister, identified only as Franca. Franca and her four children had been declared missing since April 2016, when they suddenly disappeared from their home on Mayowa Street, Ago-Palace Way, Okota, Lagos. It was gathered that Egegonye told his childhood friend, Michael Oluchukwu, that despite the wealth of his sister, she was stingy. A Punch correspondent learnt that Oluchukwu, a cobbler, sent a text message to the victim, giving her an ultimatum of 12 hours to pay N300,000 or risk being kidnapped and killed. It was learnt that Franca called the suspect and pleaded for her life, saying she could only afford N50,000. Oluchukwu reportedly agreed and sent her his account details. However, it was learnt that the victim had yet to send the money when she and her four children went missing. Punch correspondent gathered that the victim’s husband petitioned the
