Ms Pierce has a medical condition called lymphedema, which has caused a huge swelling on her left leg, she no longer fits easily into a regular car. To make the 1,000 mile trip to Texas the single mother would need to hire a private ambulance, and she is currently trying to raise $5,000 to pay for it. She has been home bound and is unable to walk without help. She plans to lose 20 stones for her dream wedding. “I’m determined not to have to get married at home – I want to be able to walk up the aisle. We both love country music so I plan to wear a wedding dress, cowboy boots and cowgirl hat and Tony will be in jeans and cowboy boots.” she says.

Dethroned Beauty Queen, Adaeze, Opens Up: says It's Bcos of Sex

Image
There are two sides to every story; While some are alleging that the guy [Bara] and the beauty queen [Adaeze] were at one point dating themselves, but things went wrong and she stopped "cooperating" and the guy decided to deal with her. She is insisting she didn't sleep with him and that's got him angry. Sadly, many so called pageants are just avenues for men to sleep with ladies anyhow. Her story: I called the contact phone number which was on the advert page for the Miss Nollywood 2015/2016 after filling the online form and making the bank registration payment. Mr Barakumo Odede who picked the call asked me to order for tickets which I will sell like other contestants which is a criteria to be a potential winner of the pageant. I then sold tickets worth #40,000 which I gave to Mr Barakumo.

Kogi Lady Marries her 'grandfather'

Image
A picture of a 28 year old lady who wedded her 78 year old soulmate in Kogi State, has emerged with many wondering what joy she derives. Like the popular saying, age is just number but 'true love' conquers all, maybe she does not find the real love she deserves in younger guys so she went for someone who has tasted life and know what it is to care and protect a woman. The 28 year old lady was seen in tears of joy while taking her marital vow with the love of her life. Well, your opinion is allowed though. Even if the man is above 100years but well loaded with good things of life, they will marry.  With money, ladies can marry any man. True or false? Ladies in the house just say the truth, will you marry a man thrice your age?  Post your comments below

8 years old bride dies on her weding night. You can guess why.

Image
An 8 year old Yemeni child bride, recently died on her wedding night from internal hemorrhaging as a result of forced s*x. She was married to a man five times her age. As disgusting as the tradition of marrying off children to much older men is, it is common practice in Yemen. More than a quarter of the female population are married before the age of 15. This and similar cases have enraged people from all over the world who are working on stopping this barbaric tradition.  However, even though they work hard in an attempt to stop this practice, they are not finding it easy. Yemen, as an impoverished country, poor families makes profit from this practice and doesn’t plan on giving it up so easily. Poor families are basically forced to accept “bride-prices”, by which they receive about $100 for their daughters who are later sold off to be married.

I’m still divorced, not a part of Christ Embassy —Oyakhilome’s ex-wife

Image
Pastor Anita Ebhodaghe has refuted claims that she has reconciled with the General Overseer of Christ Embassy, Pastor Chris Oyakhilome, and returned to the church. Ebhodaghe, in a statement by her solicitors, Attwaters Jameson Hill, on February 8, had confirmed the dissolution of the clergywoman’s marriage with Oyakhilome, wherein she announced that she would drop Oyahkilome from her name henceforth. Several blogs ignited an online frenzy last week with reports that the former couple had settled their differences out of court and that they had gotten back together.  But Ebhodaghe, in a statement on her blog on Thursday, denied allegations that she had made up with the televangelist. She said, “It has been brought to my attention that there are persistent rumours and misinformation about my marital status being circulated and I would like to address the certain reconciliation rumours with this statement. “Further to the formal notification of the dissolution of marriage made by my

EFCC traces stolen funds to NNPC, releases Fidelity Bank MD

Image
The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission has released the Managing Director of Fidelity Bank, Mr. Nnamdi Okonkwo, who was arrested last Wednesday for allegedly helping a former Minister of Petroleum Resources, Diezani Alison-Madueke, to launder $153m.  The EFCC had taken the bank MD before an Ikeja Magistrate’s Court last week where the court ordered that he remained in EFCC custody for a week.   However, a reliable source at the commission told our correspondent that Okonkwo made useful statements on the case and had given detectives all the information they needed, thus he was no longer needed. The source said the bank boss would be charged before a Federal High Court in Lagos next week for alleged money laundering, conspiracy and fraud. The detective, who spoke to our correspondent on the condition of anonymity, said that the $153m emanated from the account of the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation. We believe the $153m is part of the money missing from the NNPC account

My compatriots: It is one year today since our administration came into office. It has been a year of triumph, consolidation, pains and achievements. By age, instinct and experience, my preference is to look forward, to prepare for the challenges that lie ahead and rededicate the administration to the task of fixing Nigeria. But I believe we can also learn from the obstacles we have overcome and the progress we made thus far, to help strengthen the plans that we have in place to put Nigeria back on the path of progress.   We affirm our belief in democracy as the form of government that best assures the active participation and actual benefit of the people. Despite the many years of hardship and disappointment, the people of this nation have proved inherently good, industrious tolerant, patient and generous.  The past years have witnessed huge flows of oil revenues. From 2010 average oil prices were $100 per barrel. But economic and security conditions were deteriorating. We campaigne

Over N39tn lost in the country’s economy, crude oil theft, official corruption and electoral campaign funding were responsible for a larger percentage of the loss. The exchange rate of N130 to a dollar was used in the conversion of funds under the Obasanjo-led administration while N150 was adopted for those under the Jonathan-led administration, being the average official rates during the tenures. N3tn – NNPC, NPDC unremitted funds Former Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria, Mr. Lamido Sanusi, now the Emir of Kano, Alhaji Muhammadu Sanusi II, had written former President Goodluck Jonathan, accusing the Nigeria National Petroleum Corporation of failing to account for $49bn revenue, which should have been remitted to the Federation Account. He recently said the corporation could only account for $29bn of the ‘missing’ fund. He said some oil companies paid taxes and royalties in oil, and the NNPC sold this oil on behalf of FIRS. “No reasonable explanation for $20bn (NNPC);  $6bn

One Year After, Where is the change?

Image
I am yet to see any positive change. About a year ago I voted for a man I believe could do the job. I am just wandering when we shall begin to see the real changes we asked for , or rather, the change we were promised. Though the anti-corruption war is on, victory is still far off, as we are yet to the big fishes in jail. Meanwhile, we have see a lot in terms of price increases everywhere; Electricity bills have increased without power supply Petrol bill has also gone up.  Food prices and transportation cost have all gone up. The average Nigerian is now at least 30% poorer now than we were as at January 1, 2016. That simply means inflation has taken out over 30% of our purchasing power. Where is the change? NORTHERNERS ARE NOW THE HEADS OF KEY AGENCIES: Is Nigeria going the way of NATIONAL CAKE again?  Is this part of the promised CHANGE?     Before I forget they also own about 70% Nigeria oil wealth.
