Gov. Adams Oshiomhole of Edo says his administration is owing only four years of unpaid pensions after settling nine years pensioners’ entitlements. Oshiomhole told the State House correspondents in Abuja on Thursday that, contrary to the allegation by the opposition, he was not leaving behind a huge liability for his successor.

News Jagaban gathered that about 2,000 Nigeria Immigration Service recruits who were disengaged after their training in 2015 are planning another round of protests.  It will be recalled that they had earlier protested their sack at the Ministry of Interior in Abuja in June 2016. The protesters had stormed the ​ministry with various placards demanding their reinstatement into the NIS.

 Margaret Wambui, who has been detained at Nairobi Women's Hospital for four months over unpaid bill, has accused her husband of running over her with a minibus after he accused her of infidelity. The 37-year-old mother of four claims she was attacked by her husband, Stephen Gichuhi on February 18, this year. A Nigerian, Omeleze Fred, based in India has been nabbed for a romance scam in which he allegedly duped unsuspecting female victims.
