2,000 Disegaged Nigeria Immigration Recruits Plans another round of Protest March

News Jagaban gathered that about 2,000 Nigeria Immigration Service recruits who were disengaged after their training in 2015 are planning another round of protests.

It will be recalled that they had earlier protested their sack at the Ministry of Interior in Abuja in June 2016.

The protesters had stormed the ministry with various placards demanding their reinstatement into the NIS.

News Jagaban was informed by one of the disengaged NIS recruit that since the last protest march, the government has not issued any new directive to the ministry as regard their status.

"Nothing has changed he said, we are still at home and nobody is saying anything about a job for which we were issued offer letters and even trained in 2015". "Everyone seem to have forgotten about us, we can't continue to pretend as if all is well".

These group of 2000 disengaged persons who are currently without any means of livelihood are asking for reinstatement into the service from the government.

To this end they have decided to engage in another round of protest march come August 19.
