Asawana Deadly Force of Niger Delta, a new militant group, has disclosed the definite date when it would carry out bombing operations in Bonga Field, Onitsha -Asaba Bridge, Third Mainland Bridge, and other major bridges across the southern of the country. This was contained in a statement issued by its commander, Olomubini Kakarakokoro popularly known as No Mercy.

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission has frozen five bank accounts traced to a former Deputy Governor of Osun State, Senator Iyiola Omisore, and the two sons of a former Minister of State of Defence, Senator Musiliu Obanikoro. The EFCC, it was learnt, froze the accounts as part of investigations into the N4.7bn diverted from the imprest account of the Office of the National Security Adviser under the leadership of the former NSA, Lt. Col. Sambo Dasuki (retd.).

Communual clash in Ebonyi-Cross River boundary villages leaves at least 5 people dead

   No fewer than eight persons are feared to have been killed in renewed clashes between communities in Cross River and Ebonyi States. Cross River State in South-south Nigeria shares common boundary with Ebonyi in the South-east zone. The skirmishes occurred between Ochienyim community in Amagu, Ikwo Local Government Area of Ebonyi State and Adadama community in Abi Local Government Area of Cross River State.

   The Chairman of Dangote Group, Aliko Dangote, has said his Gas Pipeline Project would increase the Gross Domestic Product as well as provide uninterrupted power supply in Lagos. Speaking during an inspection of his refinery, petrochemical, gas and fertilizer projects by Governor Akinwunmi Ambode in Lagos, Saturday, Mr. Dangote said the projects would also attract other bigger investors into the Zone.
