EFCC Arrests Former Imo State Governor Achike Udenwa
The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) last night arrested, on fraud allegations, a former governor of Imo State, Achike Udenwa. Achike Udenwa He is accused of receiving N350 million which had been diverted from last year’s presidential campaign of Mr. Goodluck Jonathan. Mr. Udenwa was last night grilled by EFCC investigators for several hours at their headquarters, following which he was released after signing a bond to repay the funds to the federal government within two weeks. Our sources say he admitted collecting the funds from former finance minister Esther Nenadi, who was herself arrested last week and has reportedly paid back massive sums of money. It would be recalled that Mrs. Usman confessed that former NSA Sambo Dasuki gave her billions of Naira,from which she paid several party officials. They include Femi Fani-Kayode, who received N840m in his private account at Zenith Bank.
No funeral will hold in Benin kingdom once burial rites for late Oba is announced- Council of Chief says
The Benin Traditional Council has asked all residents of the state to carry out funeral for their deceased loved ones now as no funeral will be allowed to hold once the burial rites of the late Oba of Benin, Oba Erediuwa is announced. The Iyase of Benin Kingdom, Chief Sam Igbe who spoke to newsmen in Benin city today, asked the residents of the kingdom to respect the custom and tradition of the kingdom. He also announced that as a mark of respect for the late Oba, all male citizens of Benin Kingdom are to clean shave the hair on their head in obedience to Benin tradition. Chief David Edebiri, the Esogban of Benin kingdom, said sanctions from the ancestors await anyone that fails to clean shave his hair. Meanwhile the Edo state government has declared a 5-day public holiday following the death of the monarch. The holiday takes effect from yesterday May 3rd.

Olivia captioned the photos "I found this picture on Facebook & prayed for all mothers in such a situation. May the Lord God visit people in such a situation ....Amen"
