Fomer FCT Minister Lavished over N1trillion – EFCC

These are not the best of times for former minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Bala Mohammed – Mohammed is currently detained by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) – Mohammed is being investigated for alleged financial crimes in excess of N1.6trillion A report by Premium Times quoting EFCC sources allege that former FCT minister, Bala Mohammed, may have committed financial crimes in excess of N1.6trillion.


Mohammed, 58, a former senator representing Bauchi south senatorial district was the FCT minister from April 2010 till May 2015. According to the report, Mohammed was allegedly involved in extensive land racketeering as a minister. “After computation of the land deals that he struck, we discovered that more than N1.6 trillion could not be accounted for,” a source said

Prices of lands in Abuja are amongst the highest in Africa. A 1,400 sqm piece of land could go for as high as N250 million. Last week, a Facebook post by the EFCC suggested that Mohammed is already cooperating with officials of the EFCC and giving useful information.

The post read:

“It is no longer news that the former minister of the FCT, Senator Bala Mohammed was arrested by the EFCC to explain his role in the alleged mismanagement of the resources of the FCT while he held sway. “What is news however is that the former Minister is still giving very useful information regarding his role as the man in charge of the resources of the Federal Capital Territory in the last dispensation. We shall keep you posted.”

Mohammed was questioned over suspected multiple criminal breaches while he held sway as FCT Minister between 2011 and 2015. His detention and interrogation followed series of petitions filed against him by individuals and group since 2013.

The anti-corruption war by the administration of President Muhammadu Buhari has seen dozens of his predecessor, Goodluck Jonathan’s aides and associates arrested for corruption.

UK resumes work, study visa applications processing in Nigeria

The United Kingdom has resumed work and study visa applications processing in Nigeria. This was contained in a post by UKinNigeria on its social media handles on Wednesday. In the post, Nigerians were urged to proceed to the UK visa application centres for the Priority Visa Services. “From January 24, TLS will resume offering some Priority Visa (PV) Services in our Nigerian visa application centres. PV services will only be available to customers applying at VACs in Nigeria in work and study routes. Horror As An Ashawo Chops Off Customer’s Manhood For Refusing To Pay After Action

A man has lost his p*n!s in the hands of a an Ashawo after the angry Lady used a sharp object to cut off the man’s m*****d. A Kenyan man has been left in excruciating pain after his m*****d was chopped off by a an Asahwo for refusing to pay her after passionate s*-x.   The unidentified man is now recuperating in hospital but in serious pain.
