Lagos goes tough, arrests 40 Area Boys in Oshodi

The Lagos State Task-force, on Sunday morning arrested 40 suspected miscreants at their different hide-outs at the popular Oshodi market.

Adebayo Taofiq, Head, Public Affairs Unit of the taskforce, confirmed the arrest to newsmen.

He said that the arrest was made after the State Commissioner of Police, Fatai Owoseni, directed the chairman of the task-force SP Olayinka Egbeyemi, to carry out the operations.


“During the raid, 39 males and one female were arrested.

“Owoseni directed that all those arrested during the operations be charged to Lagos State Environmental Sanitation and Special Offences Courts in Ogba, Lagos.

“The commissioner further directed that raiding of miscreants and hoodlums at different parts of the state, particularly at Oshodi, would be a continuous exercise,’’ he said

Mr. Taofiq advised parents to always monitor the activities of their children, especially when they claimed they are coming to Lagos without any tangible job or relations to stay with.

He said that some of the suspects arrested claimed they came to Lagos to ‘hustle’, but later joined bad gangs at Oshodi to pick pockets.

UK resumes work, study visa applications processing in Nigeria

The United Kingdom has resumed work and study visa applications processing in Nigeria. This was contained in a post by UKinNigeria on its social media handles on Wednesday. In the post, Nigerians were urged to proceed to the UK visa application centres for the Priority Visa Services. “From January 24, TLS will resume offering some Priority Visa (PV) Services in our Nigerian visa application centres. PV services will only be available to customers applying at VACs in Nigeria in work and study routes. A man has lost his p*n!s in the hands of a an Ashawo after the angry Lady used a sharp object to cut off the man’s m*****d. A Kenyan man has been left in excruciating pain after his m*****d was chopped off by a an Asahwo for refusing to pay her after passionate s*-x.   The unidentified man is now recuperating in hospital but in serious pain.
