The National Association of Resident Doctors (NARD) have called off their strike action which they started on Monday June 20th.  In a statement signed by their president, Mohammed Askira, the group said the strike which they embarked on to protest the the non-payment of 10 months salaries of some of its members, was called off due to the hardship some Nigerians have faced since they started they strike.

  

 A couple of months ago it was reported that Nollywood actor Ernest Asuzu was spotted  at Shoprite but it looks like things are turning around for him as he has just released a new song, a gospel track called “Chineke Nke Igwe“.

Chales Okah The suspected mastermind of the 2010 Independence Day bombings, Charles Okah,did not escape from Kuje Prison in Abuja.. “It is not true (that he escaped),” the spokesperson for the Nigerian Prisons Service, Francis Enobore, told PREMIUM TIMES, in response to reports that Mr. Okah scaled the prison’s wall and fled on Friday night. “He is there (Kuje prison) hale and hearty. The comptroller of prisons in charge of the FCT was there less than 30 minutes ago and he saw him there. I spoke to the controller.”

The Nigeria Army has admitted that its chief, Tukur Buratai, owns assets in Dubai, United Arab Emirate. The army however described as “false and misleading” a report that Mr. Buratai, and his wives, jointly became owners of the properties following a certain “single” transaction. The army said the two Dubai properties had been officially declared when Mr. Buratai was appointed Nigeria’s top army officer.
